Sleeveless Two Way Top

Lovely colour and fabric but clung to my lumps and bumps even though I had sized up.

I was never wearing this on its own as I haven't done sleeveless for years as I don't find the look flattering and the climate in the north too cold. But AI have this top in two fabulous colours and love them simply because of the double material and the lack of sleeves, and that they are great as a layering item under a faux crossover top or an open Shelley wrap. Negotiating two lots of sleeves can be bulky and awkward. Sick of the usual camisole 'uniform' and so the boat neck in the autumn is very attractive, and the V neck is the same as any other V neck, and a pop of colour and an appropriate necklace. It is also very attractive to wear with a belt either way and to ruche any spare material. Given it is double material, it comes in at a reasonae price and not this see-through scenario.

I wanted to like this Sleeveless Two Way Top as it seemed like a good idea. However, for me, wearing the boat neck to the front just didn't feel comfortable. Also, I found that with the double material and the long line, there was too much material below the waist. I did love the light dove grey colour.

I bought the canary yellow (fabulous colour) in the sale thinking this would be a lovely smart summer top. However, it is one Kettlewell product I have had problems with. The V neckline would not sit neatly, it puckered and gaped. I tried to work out if it had just been ironed incorrectly as there did not seem to be a manufacturing fault. Perhaps I just tried the wrong size? I found the reverse side a bit too high on the neckline for me. Sadly returned.

I bought this top in French Blue, which is a fabulous colour! I like the double lining to provide a bit more structure and to avoid being see-through. For me, the top is a bit long and I always find armholes on sleeveless items a bit large, rather than fitting neatly. However this is such a lovely colour and with the V neck being just right and flattering, so I will keep it. I bought it in the sale so feel it was value for money, I would not likely buy it at full price.
