Josie Skirt

Love this Ink Marl colour, it will go with so many tops/jumpers. Great quality skirt and so comfortable to wear. When I saw it online I was worried the slits at the sides might be too high up the leg for me, but thankfully they’re not. I’m 5ft 6ins and bought the size 18.

Thankfully I can wear Merino if over thick tights . I didn't get on board to start with, but was tempted by seeing KCC members wearing it. I am best suited to long slim fitting skirts, and these are perfect. Warm and cosy, good length, comfortable, easy to dress up or down. BUT ... As I've just discovered several options at John Lewis under the Celtic label at 25% discount, I am very disappointed in this business practice. Hence the lower rating. I also bought a size M in Ink Marl. Still comfortable but not as neat looking on me.

The Good: Lovely skirt. I was hesitant because generally wool irritates my sensitive skin, but this does not. I appreciate the fact that the side slits are not too high, but I am only 5'3" so thats relative. Soft to the touch and comfortable to wear. The color is deeply saturated, a very dark brown. The Not-So-Good: It does show the tummy area some, probably due to the straight style. It does cling to my lower legs/tights - static electricity! Not sure if this is a climate issue. I do live in the cold, semi-arid, northern US. Otherwise this is a wonderful skirt!

I tried this with some trepidation, as I was worried that it might prove to be too clingy, but it's actually far better than I'd hoped! Yes, I might need to wear some 'magic knickers' but that's the case for quite a few things these days. It's warm, comfortable and actually gave the impression of being slimming. I may seem to be damning with faint praise, but as I'd been getting nowhere with trousers (I need some stretch in them, I've concluded) I was very glad to find a cosy skirt that worked for me!

My favourite style Winter-time skirt. So comfortable and cosy to wear! I wore last year�s Ink Marl version so much, I didn�t hesitate to add Pine, this year (+ matching Tina Sweater). Sizing feels identical. I love wearing both pieces together to make a �dress� but as separates, find them super versatile. I�m 5�4� with �Regular� length legs and would describe the length as a �long midi� on me with side splits for easy movement.
