Rhiannon Bomber Jacket

Love this jacket! I love my Chloes and Petras, but was new to faux suede. I wanted to try something in a different fabric. I liked the modern style of the Rhiannon as it's a bit more contemporary (and honestly, I don't need any more Chloes, much as I love them!). I am a 12 but usually buy 10/S in the jersey jackets to keep them neat around the waist area as I don't do them up. I expected to need my usual size in this style as there is less stretch but found that the 10 gave me the slightly neater fit without being tight. I can also do it up! I've worn it a few times and really like it, however, I would have liked the collar to be stiffer. The way it stays nice and upright on the model is how I'd like it to sit normally, but as the fabric is very soft and floppy, it just lays flat and looks more like a lapel than a collar. I've tried ironing using starch (and may do this again) which has helped a little, plus I zip it right up on the hanger when I'm not wearing it to encourage the collar to stay 'tight'. I've also found that when wearing with a jersey t-shirt that the inside of the jacket near the zip 'sticks' to my t-shirts and then becomes visible so I'm having to keep tucking it back into place. This strip of fabric is quite loose and again where the jacket lacks any real stiffness, it sort of flops around. I will try either tacking it into place with a few small stitches, or potentially some wonder web. Other than these two minor niggles, it's a great jacket and I think I'll get a lot of wear out of it.

I love this fabric and was interested to try it in a different cut. Sadly this did not work at all. Way too boxy and loose in the body though sleeves were fine. Tried both US 8 and 6. No go for either size.
